My Social Media Presence

I created three social media accounts to promote my blog these were a twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn. By using a wide range of different social media accounts it meant that more people and different types of people would see my blog.


Twitter:


Twitter is a great place to reach a wide range of people through the use of hashtags and the vast amount of people on the site.

Here is an example of one of my posts, I made it so that I posted not only promotional posts about my blog but posts that are about things to do with advertising and marketing so that the people drawn to my page know that it is about advertising and marketing which is what my blog is about. This means that I am targeting my social media accounts to the correct target audience for my blog.


I found that my post that were just about advertising and marketing had more shares in the way of likes and retweets on twitter, this was probably because they are more what people would share. This meant by people sharing these posts a wider range of people found my account.


Overall I found that twitter was helpful in reaching a wider range of people as anyone who interacted with my post would then be sharing it to people that follow them.








Instagram:


I found that Instagram is the best place to advertise as it is a very visual app so by making my posts visually appealing it meant that more people interacted with them.


Here is an example of a post on my Instagram. It shows a post where I was promoting my new blog posts. I made sure I used hashtags that are relating to the blog post as well as my Instagram page. I also made sure to add a comment on the post explaining what my blog post is about to make sure people knew.


Overall, I found that Instagram was a great site for posting visual posts as that is what Instagram is about.


LinkedIn:


The reason I chose LinkedIn is because it is a very professional social media site which meant that my target audience (people that are looking to advertise there company) were most likely to be found on this site.


Here is an example post of what I posted on my LinkedIn page. I made a separate page from my LinkedIn account dedicated to the brand S&S Marketing which is the brand behind my blog. This meant that when people found these posts they could easily see the company behind the blog and click on the profile to find the link to the blog.

















Overall, I think my social media pages did well at promoting my blog, my best social media was LinkedIn just because it was where most of my target audience are found. I made sure that all my posts on social media related to the theme of my blog so that they could be easily connected.
