Updated: Dec 1, 2020

What even is branding you might ask?

Well branding is the message behind the company used to target the target audience.

How do you work out your target audience?

Well firstly let me help you understand what a target audience is, it is quite simply the type of people your product/service is aimed at. So for example if you are selling new kitchen your target audience is going to be people that are probably in their late 20’s lets say 27+ and it is going to be a more female based target audience. This means when you come to marketing and advertising your product your target the marketing strategy to this demographic.

To build a brand you need Positive image + standing out = brand success. This means when you are starting to brand your company you need to make sure that there is only positive things to say about it as if your target audience start to hear negative things about your brand they will be turned off looking into the products/services you sell.

You need to find ways that your brand/company is different from others like you and how your company can be likeable by your target audience. This is known as brand strategy.

You then need to work on the brands identity which is how your brand looks to the target audience. Basically what the brand looks like visually.

The last thing you need to work on when building your brand is you brand marketing which is how your company makes their target audience aware if the products/services they offer.

I will talk more about how to market on my next blog post.

So overall when creating a brand you need to focus on your target audience and making sure your branding works for your company and your target audience.
