4 Famous Video Adverts

Want to hear about some of the most famous video adverts of all time keep reading.

Coca-Cola- Holidays are coming

As this advert was produced for the Christmas season the red on the trucks not only represents the brand, as coca cola has red cans, but also fits with the theme of Christmas as red is represented to be Christmas time. This advert is a very feel good advert showing families together at Christmas which makes them think that coca cola can bring families together. This advert was also a good marketing strategy as it got people excited for when coca cola go round the UK in the red coca cola truck and give out coca cola. There is a novelty behind the red truck that represents Christmas and coca cola making people want to visit the truck when it comes to their city.

EE- Network Envy

EE use a common advert technique where they use a famous face to promote their company in this case, they use Kevin Bacon. Within this advert EE are looking to promote the new IPhone 12 Pro as this will be the phone most people will want to buy in their target audience and they are also promoting how good EE is as a company and for their award-winning 5G network. They do this by using statistics that Kevin Bacon says such as “they just won number one network for 5G and number one network seven years in a row”. They then use the disappointment of the second character as he isn’t on that network to say don’t be like him just join EE.

Cadbury’s- Gorilla Advert

They use the purple colour of Cadburys so you instantly know that it is a Cadburys advert by the colour. This advert uses a famous song to promote their chocolate, by using a famous song it means people know the song as well it means as soon as people hear that song they automatically think of this advert. This advert ends with a picture of the chocolate bar as well as Cadburys slogan by doing this it reiterates the company and the product in the audiences mind.

Pepsi- Kendall Jenner

This advert is famous however not for the reasons Pepsi intended this advert got a lot of bad rep as it was said that it played down the widespread protests against the killings of black people by the police. Pepsi said they were “trying to project a global message of unity, peace and understanding” however the advert wasn’t received this way. This advert uses young people who are holding nonspecific signs like “join the conversation” who are also smiling, laughing looking like they are having a good time. It is said that this advert plays down the fact that protestors face police brutality and it shows the protests to be happy and romanticize protests which is the complete opposite of what they actually look like.
